The week leading up to the Wedding Fair left everyone concerned about the weather for Sunday. All week we were given mixed forecasts but we held onto hope that it would be the hottest day of the year so far!
So when Sunday finally came after the horrible weather on Saturday evening, we were relieved to wake up to clear skies and beautiful sunshine :) From then on the day just kept getting better. As soon the doors opened at 11am the marquee filled with eager brides and families in tow. At 12.30 and 14.30, Anna and her lovely team at Boxmoor Bridal Boutique wowed brides to be with their stunning dress collection.
After the success of this show, we think we should add a menswear catwalk. What do you think?
Toastmaster Jango did a great job introducing the collections and of course let everyone know that our highly anticipated BBQ was still going ahead. Our chef cooked up some delicious food and everyone enjoyed the sunshine on the decking area. To top it off Scoops provided tubs of mouth-watering ice cream which of course went down well with adults and children alike.
The entrance to our riverside marquee was the stage for Harland Elegant Car Hire to showcase their impressive wedding car collection and inside looked just as good. All of our exhibitor’s stands were dressed to impress, giving the brides and grooms to be plenty of inspiration for their big day!
The day gave us an opportunity to show off the Watermill’s function suites at their best. Romeo ‘n’ Juliet created an enchanting, on trend vintage them in the Willow Suite. While RD Floral dazzled with elegant floral displays in the gazebo and centrepieces in our Garden Suite, accentuating our Navy and Gold theme perfectly. Samantha from Bite Me Bakery expressed her creative talents through the remarkable wedding cakes which were on display in both suites.

We were so pleased to hear such positive feedback from all of the exhibitor’s who, just like us, had lots of interest and took bookings on the day.
We would also like to thank all the brides-to-be and couples who stopped by to discuss their wedding plans and to see what The Watermill Hotel has to offer! It was a pleasure to see people getting excited about their big day and we are looking forward to seeing many of you again soon. How do you think we could improve the show for next time?
